Who’s finally going to beat Tottenham and Arsenal?
With decent reffing, Liverpool would have done it sooner imo. The disallowed goal and Jota’s first yellow that led to the sendoff massively affected the match.
We’ve played all top six teams except Liverpool. We won against the two Manchester teams, and had gotten a draw for both London teams. Just thinking out loud here.
Newcastle soon for us, could see us lose there.
Spurs on top is obviously exciting, but look at Luton! Les Go!!

I know we aren’t the best but I can’t believe people had wolves as genuine title contenders. Too much talent in that squad to go down and there are way many worse teams
It’s the history of the Tottenham
Spurs’s start is impressive but I wouldn’t get carried away just yet. They’ve only played one game against top opposition (which they won under dubious circumstances) and their other wins have come against relegation fodder and bottom half teams.
Also -and the fact that they can focus fully on the league with no Europe is hiding this- but they’re one or two injuries away from disaster, as their squad is thin and the drop off in quality from starters to backups is drastic.
I do expect them to finish top 4 this season, but the best they can hope for is something similar to Arsenal last season: brilliant start; top of the league for most of the season; drop off towards the end to finish in second place behind City.
Unfortunate to drop down to 9th. Was hoping we could beat Villa and get that 5th spot. Most of our upcoming games should be winnable as well. We could have been top 5 during Christmas.
Guess I shouldn’t have been so optimistic.
