Albon has now outqualified Perez in 5 of the 10 races so far this season. (Australia, Monaco, Canada, Austria, Great Britain)

I so badly want Williams to keep this up and contend for wins with Albon in like 2025. He’s so fucking good. Red Bull really fucked it with their shit treatment of drivers, messing around with Gasly, Kvyat, and Albono.

We all were talking about DeVries getting dropped in summer break, but Checo also is sweating rn. 5 in a row… damn.

But otoh when you listen to interviews with Helmut Marko he still says Perez is helping win the constructors. And basically noone is available to replace him. He’s not happy with one driver qualifying 1st the other one 16th. But he also says Perez usually delivers ok races.

So for the season he’s probably ok as long as the constructors championship will get won. For next season we’ll see. But I imagine if Perez picks up again for the coming races and just finish 2nd in te drivers championship he’ll be there next season as well.

Interesting statistic. A nice to know but without any value. I hope Williams keeps up this form or even het better. Albon is a great driver. If I were him I stayed at Williams if they keep improving. And I don’t think Perez has to worry for the moment.

Very beautiful picture with this post btw. Amazing.

But are they really going to bring Albon back to Red Bull? I really can’t see them doing that.

But then is Yuki ready to be promoted up to Red Bull? I don’t know if he would do any better than Albon or Perez.

He’s getting into the midfield with a car that barely has four wheels. I think he’d finish in the points far more often, at least.

I would really want to know what’s up with Checo. It is almost like he wants out of RB.

Today was really unlucky. Yellow flag, restart with tyres losing their temperature and only 3:11 time left on q1. Even verstappen was “struggling”.

Albon crossed the line directly behind Perez and was 0.5 seconds faster, you can’t blame the conditions.

Look at verstappens result at q1 and you know what I meant. It must have been something with red bulls cars. If he was given one or two more laps, I’m pretty sure his time on his hot lap would qualify him for q2.

Verstappen said in the post race interview that he was glad his car is so fast so he didn’t have to push in q1 and q2. He said he was only pushing for a good time in q3
