      Man, I love unions and support unions and wish I had a union job, but absolutely — police unions are a very different thing.

      They’re about protecting even the worst cops from even the slightest consequence, and yes damn it you’re right, they’re a major threat to democracy.

    That is the hilarious. Reports asking questions of police should not be causing such a reaction.

      We should, I guess, admire the officer’s restraint for not blowing the reporters’ head off at the first sound of a doorbell.

      I’m convinced that the LAPD is rotten to the core, and that everyone who’s employed there has to know it.

      I’m not convinced, though, that the LAPD is any different or any worse than your local PD.
