That deer was determined to get in front of that car. Looks like its neck isn’t going to be doing too good, poor thing.

My car survived, but I don’t think the deer did. It managed to get away by the time we pulled over but considering the dent it put in the drivers side door there’s no way the poor guy is going to live very long.

It really seems like the deer population is getting out of control here in Ontario. I know of four people that have hit deer in the last year. We really need to release some wolves or some other predator to keep things in balance.

Didn’t realise this was your video! It seems to me that the deer around here are getting more bold too, perhaps their usual grounds are disrupted? Too used to humans? Either way, it’s problematic.

I’m out west now, but grew up in SW Ontario. Population has been a problem for awhile, I wish they’d extend shotgun season for longer in our area. Certainly is lots of tag demand, and we all know the population counts are far lower than reality.

Out west it’s pretty horrible too.

If I was driving my eyes would be for the deer on the right and I would have missed the second until the moment of impact.

If you noticed it sooner, good instincts.
