    Nice to see someone call out pundits who are willing to contort anything into suiting their preferred narrative or who say things without checking that they actually make sense.

    Apart from the poor analysis of the actual poll results, there’s also a reasonable question about how accurate the polls are. Last election, the polls massively over-rated Labour, but still called the overall result right, so there wasn’t much blowback.

    In 2019, the Aussie pollsters predicted a Labor win, but got it wrong. There’s every chance the same could happen here this time, especially in a tight race. Most of the polling companies are Australia owned.

      I hope you’re right about them over-rating Labour this time around.

      I do wonder how they managed to do that though
