    I know they make it sound all scientific, but here is the 18+ ELI5:

    They’re going to make a porno by buttfucking the ionosphere with lots of electric buttplugs to make it glow all happy and shit.

    Then a bunch of science pervs are going to study that porno, to learn how nature can make the ionosphere glow happy and shit, without the use of toys.

    It’s called science, bitch.

    Edit: lots of prudes and luddites. My ELI5 is actually pretty spot on, well, at least if you actually read the HAARP study methods and objectives, and understand what a joke is.

          The comment got downvoted simply because it isn’t funny.

          All they did was write things about butt stuff in a context that didn’t call for it.
