    GM normalizes 5ft tall hood heights and horrid outward visibility, then acts like they give two shits about pedestrian safety. I guess there’s more profit in selling people both the problem and a solution. Regardless, I’d still rather have vehicles with tricked out electronics sensors not run me over so I’ll take it.

    Why can’t we make safer streets for pedestrians? Narrowed intersections and priority walk signals would do more to save lives than this technology and it can be done today.

    If vehicles were able to communicate with each other about the surrounding environment, it would do wonders to avoid the 20-car pileups in the fog.
