I’m still so disappointed that fucker didn’t croak. Him dying could’ve actually changed the entire landscape of COVID response. Or it could’ve set off some chuds into a wild fit of conspiracy and shit would have been wilder than it was.

When Trump got COVID I was having the most fun I’d had since the pandemic began. Too bad he didn’t go out like Stan Chera.

TFW you realize that whichever nutcase he picks as his running mate has a high probability of becoming president before 2028

I feel like we need a sticky given how often this question comes up. Put it with a Pepe the frog meme since that’s all the libs seem to notice (even when there isn’t a single one on the entire damn web site)

someone here once said it like “chuds only see aesthetics, liberals only hear tone.”

The standard liberal tone when discussing Trump is either smarmy smugness or like hushed whispers suggesting the return of Voldemort. Any other tone means you’re a conservative, especially if you think Trump is funny

      Also lmao at “extreme indifference”

So you can’t even be neutral you literally have to pretend the guy isn’t completely deserving of a slow and painful death.

What annoys me is not libs disliking us, or disagreeing with us about who the true LEFTIST is, or crying because they got banned.

It’s just the sheer, utter disinformation where it’s objectively demonstrable that they just make up shit about us and then all believe it. Still in .world, despite being corrected many times, the majority of users will say Hexbears did mass downvoting, when that’s literally impossible.

They’ll say we love Putin, and Trump. And that we’re all fascists - even if you believed dumbdumb horseshoe theory, a fair portion of us aren’t even close to authoritarian. That we’re largely Chinese shills and bots. That we deliberately organise RAIDS on other instances and aren’t just a big community group who like to share our personal experiences on other threads and we like to come to each other’s aid. That we’re a place of HATE when this place, of all sizeable internet communities, has one of the biggest cultures of love and mutual aid I’ve ever seen.

I get the political disagreements. I get the disagreement on conversational tone. What I don’t get is the sheer determination to not even understand us in the slightest way, to take the most random bullshit, even when it is factually impossible, and take it at face value; all just so they don’t have to acknowledge us as real people. That’s what upsets me. kitty-birthday-sad

    Now I made myself sad >:( I love y’all comrades meow-hug

Reminded of how Hitler had documents forged implicating his enemies prior to the night of the long knives, and then getting angrier and angrier when he read them.

Even viewing posts from other instances through Hexbear (for instance https://hexbear.net/post/2105999) will have the downvote button disabled. On the flipside downvoting Hexbear posts from other instances does nothing, we don’t see nor count downvotes. So if a comment gets hit by libs and sits at 10 upvotes 50 downvotes, we would just see that as +10.

lemmy.world must declare via admin decree that they would kill or are making active attempts to kill Donald Trump, otherwise they will be identified as material supporters/donors to the GOP & Trump campaign

I’ve been a member of .world for a long time but finally switched to .dbzer0 and started encountering you guys. I was wary at first but so far it seems like you guys are pretty alright, and that a lot of the shit .world talks is unfounded.

    Oh yeah and fuck Trump

It’s absolutely hilarious how scared they are of us vs how we are. Don’t arrogantly run your mouth or talk down to people who know more than you and everyone will be nice. Especially don’t double down and usually eventually resort to slurs and getting banned which is about 70% of the time. If you show up in a community that you aren’t part of with the sole intention of ‘owning the tankies’ don’t be surprised to get clapped, they’re like youtube prank guys who say words that are almost the n word in black neighborhoods.

I never understood the hate either, I saw a lot of people trash talking hexbear a while back, but I’ve never had a bad experience with any of its members. My personal take is that most people who encounter opinionated people with a different ideology, somehow interpret a difference of opinion as a conflict.

we can be pretty abrasive but also we have some very knowledgeable and funny people. Just be willing to listen and engage in good faith. We save the worst of it for annoying redditors with the same half dozen sophomoric points we’ve all heard a million times before because we have no interest entertaining them here.
