Much like the tokens, each NFT meets the needs of different ecosystem participants. This includes project leaders seeking capital, capital providers seeking passive returns, system governors seeking leadership and traders seeking active returns. Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are blockchain-based tokens that each represent a unique asset like:

a piece of art,
digital content, or
media.

An NFT can be thought of as an irrevocable digital certificate of ownership and authenticity for a given asset, whether digital or physical.

Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are designed to be

cryptographically verifiable,
unique or scarce and
easily transferable.

Unlike cryptocurrencies, they cannot be traded or exchanged at equivalency. This differs from fungible tokens like cryptocurrencies, which are identical to each other and, therefore, can serve as a medium for commercial transactions.

NFTs are unique cryptographic tokens that exist on a blockchain and cannot be replicated.
NFTs can represent real-world items like artwork and real estate.
“Tokenizing” these real-world tangible assets makes buying, selling, and trading them more efficient while reducing the probability of fraud.
NFTs can also function to represent individuals’ identities, property rights, and more.
Leveraging cryptographic signatures native to the blockchain on which an NFT is issued, one can easily determine the origin and the current owner of the asset in question in seconds.
