My typical encounter with Chargers using auto cannon.

    1. Dance with the charger by shooting and dodging. Where? Doesn’t matter due to skill issue.
    2. Keep dancing with it until it stops and looks at me with disappointment.
    3. Have teammate kill charger with quasar.
    4. Find another charger.

Take the AC to bot land. You’ll love it forever. As long as your team has one and a queso cannon, nothing else matters.

It is the absolute truth on bots. Bring the eruptor with it and you’ll massacre.

I would think both would be explosion overkill. Don’t you need something to deal with swarms of smaller stuff?

You rarely have to deal with swarms with bots anyway. This is why the low volume of fire weapons like the snipers and the dominator are really good to use in the bot front.

Edit: for context, I typically run AC, Dominator, Redeemer, Stun Grenades on Level 7 Difficulty.

I run Scorcher, Quasar, Stun Grenades, and Grenade Pistol against bots in levels 7-9. I love being able to 2 tap the Striders with the Scorcher as well as quickly be able to take out small patrols before they can get a flare off.

Nope, just shoot the ground behind the small stuff and bring the machine pistol.

I’ve found myself getting “stuck” into bringing a Quasar or EATs for every mission. I want to branch out and use other support weapons, but killing the big boys is just so much more work with anything else!

AC + EATs will let you handle anything. I find myself missing my AC for hordes of medium bugs/bots when I bring quasar and shield. Chargers can also be 3 shot in the butt with the AC and it’ll bleed out a few seconds later. I find the leg trick to be too inconsistent.

I’ve done that with the Arc Thrower before. My dumbass kept forgetting to pickup my Arc Thrower after I dropped it

Shoot eat but charger lifts head and the eat fizzles and run to the called in eat pod to grab the second one and try again.

Or call in eat by throwing the ball at the carget, it sticks and crushes him. Now you have 1 eat you can use on a hive guard

Run towards the charger but just slightly ajar and it’ll pass you and then turnaround and shoot them in the bum.

Although I usually do it with a Quasar or EAT.

This is pretty easy really, you let the charger change you, dive to the side, and shoot it in the tail 3 times. Then watch it bleed out as it slowly walks around.
