There is a Pokemon fan Project that let you fight with a Pokemon team in a rogue lite format, so it get harder and harder and you need to find a team that keep up with the level and manage you money/ressouces as long as possible. I think it makes a lot of fun and maybe survive since it’s a non profit project. Try it out if you want.
I’ve played a few games. It’s pretty fun, but requires some knowledge of Pokémon to play optimally.
Also, knowing Nintendo, I’m scared this game won’t last forever.
Maybe it won’t last forever, but usualy the Pokemon company goes against games that make profit. I know a lot projekt that are online for years.
Yes it required a lot knowledge and luck as well, got whipes by a Latias
git clone, everybody.
Also somehow pokewilds is still up so… maybe there is hope
My best run (lost to Bea, very powerful):
Oh dang. I’m early enough on that it’s hard to fathom getting to that stage. I imagine evolved forms and legendaries have higher point costs? Is there a way to increase your starting points or would that defeat the purpose of the point-buy system?
I got spoiled on my first run and got an exp-all and every run since has felt like a grind.
I’m struggling to build up my sustain, I feel like I can’t pick the cool items because I’m always too low to pass up any potions, and revives are steep.
It does feel good to pull strong TMs early, and I was glad to see that there’s logic preventing your item pool from getting flooded with items that you can’t use. “Wait, what? Who do I have that can learn that?? Oh it’s Abra, right.”if you get enough candies from a Pokemon (you get by catch or use the pokemon) you are able to reduce the cost for 20 candies.
Ah! That’s great, thank you. I’ll try that out the next time I play.
