    recruitment drive

Interesting euphemism for a military abduction program for a captive population under martial law.

men who spot them approaching from afar often turn on their heels and scurry off

Yep, people who know what a fascist goon squad fucking looks like and have enough good judgement to not want to die for nothing, should be likened to “rats”. Goebbels would be so proud of you, Shaun.

"All the brave people have already volunteered.”

You mean “All the people who were stupid enough to think this was a good idea are dead.”

the consequences for people of an encounter with them can be life-changing

jesusfuckingchrist just call them a death squad already.

Facing a Russian army that has superior numbers and weaponry stocks

And superior weapons, superior tactics, superior defense industrial base, higher morale, and have a material reasons to fight this thing…

these guys are trying everything to evade serving […] signed the form with a shaky hand after a 20-minute dispute […] looked horrified when presented with papers and began making panicked phone calls […] Some men have taken to hiding at home […] unwilling or unready to serve at the front […] hostility towards mobilisation officers […] they were mocked mercilessly in the comments

Honestly, the lengths this Langley-ass cracker author goes to avoid the obvious conclusion that Ukrainians don’t want to die just so NATO can turn Ukraine into another US military base is boggling. He tried so hard to paint these scum as sympathetic characters, while also photographing the nazi police strapped with an AK and there are no Russian soldiers in Kyiv – who they expecting to shoot, I wonder.

Also, the “got wounded and took a job in a press gang death squad” is mostly bullshit, though not entirely. AFAIK the majority of those who survive the meat grinder don’t want anything to do with the military anymore, also - they usually lose limbs, it wouldn’t make them a good kidnapper, and those who get off easy get treated and sent back to the front lines. Just another ploy of “I already served” - this scum didn’t serve, the majority of them. What usually happens is “either you do it for a good pay, or we do it to you for free”

These are traitors in every sense of the term

Don’t they realise how incredibly cheap this war is for America? You’re expected to fight to the last Ukrainian for their interests in your region. Get with the programme.

This just in: war is literal hell and most people don’t feel like dying for the interest of a select few people.

But the libs keep telling me that Ukrainians are bravely fighting for their country, and suggesting that western backed regime is forcing them to fight is ruzzian propaganda!

We’ll cry for them when they face the wall or at the very least get beat up on the streets. No, I promise, it will be very emotionally difficult

  • The pervasive rumor is that hoping for Ukrainian results before the US presidential election, Kiev/Kyiv will mobilize every male over the age of 18, and while conscriptions don’t tend to be that young… don’t forget that the OG Nazis conscripted all males 16 and over to fight once the Soviets breached German lines… even Hitler Youth as young as 13 were sent to collect weapons, boots, wool sweaters, anything possible for the war machine.

Although there’s a good chance this might happen, its success is still uncertain. Opposition to mobilization is already mounting, and Ukraine is experiencing economic difficulties due to a lack of labor. The other problem is that the army will primarily consist of conscripted fighters, which could lead to either a collapse or a mutiny. This situation may result in a Greek tragedy-like outcome, where the hasty measures taken to prevent further deterioration will inadvertently accelerate the very situation they were trying to avert.

I think I heard somewhere that over 40% of Nazi Germany losses occurred in 1944-1945. Something tells me that pulling a Banderajugend trick won’t do any better

they ask me: ‘How can people just be getting on with life as usual?’ And I don’t have any answer for them.

How bizarre… Not wanting to give your blood to the blood god

Has there been any reports of people actually attacking the military police as they try to force conscription? I feel like there’s a moment when some will feel they have better odds doing that then getting sent into the meat grinder.
