    This will be easier with Linux than with Windows. And Microsoft is doing their best to piss off their users at the moment.

      Linux is IMO still not suitable for many regular users; with the big gaps being desktop MS Office and occasional gaps in professional apps.

      If you just need a browser, media player and image viewer, then Linux would be a good fit.

      I’ve been using Linux regularly on my small fleet of Raspberry Pis since around 2018. Also tried it occasionally on desktop since the early 2000s.

        Linux is IMO still not suitable for many regular users;

        I’m just betting on Microsoft to make it ever more painful to use Windows. One day, people in the commecial world will notice that the Microsoft way is not compatible with their company goals. Imagine what happens when they see that their sales figures or production secrets have been gobbled up by a Microsoft AI. That will be the point where the transition starts.
