What if the DOJ instead published recommendations for consumers? Maybe they could do some sort of public awareness campaign to show people they can leave Google.
Just like how nutrition labels solved obesity? And carbon footprints solved climate change? Individual choice and responsibility aren’t good solutions to systemic problems. They’re usually championed by businesses to avoid responsibility.
I just hope they are forced to sell to a company that has zero connections to Google.
