If you look at that site, time capsules are coming in every few minutes. Unknown Worlds manually approves them, and it’s a slow process. But I figure more people upvoting them can’t hurt. Plus you get to view some beautiful screenshots and messages. Most time capsules just sit there and get zero upvotes. So be the change you want to see in the world!
According to Unknown Worlds community manager a few months back (pretty sure it was @Tuna@lemmy.world), the following items are banned from time capsules:
- PowerCell
- Battery
- Propulsion Cannon
- Hatching Enzymes
- Enzyme Cure Ball
- ALL Seamoth upgrades
- The following Prawn Suit Upgrades: Depth 1 & 2, Jump Jet, Drill Arm, Grapple Arm, Thermal Reactor
- The following Cyclops Upgrades: Depth 3, Thermal Reactor, Fire Suppression, Shield
- Sea Crown Seed
- ALL of the alien tablets
- Ion PowerCell
- Ion Battery (can be smuggled inside tools but not placed individually)
- Kyanite
Also note that no time capsules showing dead creatures get approved.

Aw man, I get why they don’t want to blow out their pacing with time capsules, but I thought I’d given a cool power boost with my capsule with an ion powercell in it. Wish the game told you that it wasn’t allowed
Yeah, I agree. I don’t like it when you have to go out to a 3rd party site just to find that kind of relevant information. Though I realize they’re trying to prevent spoilers (both in the screenshots and in the items you can include).
If it makes you feel any better, since such a small % of them get approved, yours probably wouldn’t have been seen anyways. Hope that more of them can get voted on and approved :)
