Such an iconic photo. So many sad/angry little spuds in this image. And apparently a couple of covert gooners hidden in there too, haha.

Are these Pavard links to be believed? Guess the Saka backup can wait, hopefully Reiss or Viera has a breakout season for us

Hot take: even if Zinchenko’s fit, I don’t want him starting the Palace game. He’s not had like, any preseason. Ease him into things and let Tierney start (or Tomi I guess but yeah)

Tierney would be perfect against Palace. His pace and defensive soundness would be the best option against Palace’s pacy wingers.

Left back is possibly the most deep position we have in terms of numbers, even if the quality isn’t as good as our 6 depth. We don’t need to rush things. Last time we rushed back a fullback for a game, he got injured for the rest of the season and cost us top 4.

Wish the club would tell us what happened in the Luton friendly, I swear they usually tell us about how behind-doors friendlies go

Months. First choice was always Zinny I think, but probably Tierney after him if it were up to me, but might be Tomi cuz his versatility gets him on the bench more easily

Paqueta’s got betting rule breaches apparently. Explains why City backed off suddenly.

Arteta’s rest and injury decisions need to improve. Timber was hurt and then returned. Arteta and the medical staff need to overrule players and keep them benched. I love Arteta’s new team structure tho. It will lead to great offense and a good defensive block.

I stand corrected. I now question whether or not Timber pushed himself to continue because he might lose a starting spot.

Areta literally pushed an injured Partey back onto the pitch against Tottenham in 2020. Saka and Martineli’s production was heavily diminished in the later parts of last season. Luckily for Martinelli he had a suitable substitute in Trossard and received rest here and there. Meanwhile, Reiss Nelson was seldomly substituted in for Saka as a starter. Saka has started every PL match in the last two seasons except against Leeds at the Emirates. The likes of Trossard, Nelson, ESR, Vieira, and Tierney need to be utilized in the Prem. They shouldn’t only be a mainstay in the domestic cup competitions.

Another one is when we rushed Tomi back for that Liverpool game. I think he’s probably learned from that though.
