Member states of the European Union are beginning to face the same dilemma. They have gone along blindly with NATO policies without questioning them. The failure of NATO’s wars in the Middle East and Afghanistan, and the consequences of the overthrow of Libya’s Ghaddafi have all led to Europe’s refugee problems. Now, the economic sacrifice of NATO alignment is plain to see.

EU leaders (and most Americans) are muttering darkly about how the (corrupt) Americans (ruling class) are profiting from Ukraine while Europe is paying the price.
