I wonder when this was taken, because there is not a single airplane in this picture i think. Maybe before it opened? Usually you always have a couple planes standing around getting boarded or taxiing like in this picture from wikipedia.
It got like 40 Millions passengers in 2023 so it should be very busy.

Wow. I assumed it would dwarf DFW. Turns out DFW is third busiest in the world and Beijing doesn’t make the top 10.
