So I (22M) am not doing the best mentally and I can be quite anxious. So recently my neighbor and friend, let’s call him N, has been practicing hypnosis. I’ve always been creeped out by hypnosis and don’t like the idea of making people do things against their will/awareness. I went to talk to him about it and he asked if I would like a drink. A reoccurring thought of mine has been paranoia of demons possessing me and others, so I refused because that’s how a demon may tempt me, in my mind. My friends are also calling me crazy when I told them what had happened. So, AITA?

People who ignore problems are assholes. You know you have a problem, so just don’t ignore it and you’ll be fine.

You stand at a fork in the road now - one path leads to you and your friends laughing about that time you almost went crazy; the other, to potentially serious, and possibly deadly, consequences.

    NTA, for now.
