But on the average, relative to other American retailers, Costco is probably one of the less shitty. They pay workers higher wages and are pretty consumer friendly.

I once bought a laptop from them that developed an issue with its keyboard just after a year of owning it. The manufacturer refused to do anything about it, but Costco’s own warranty was twice as long and they fixed it free of charge.
