Section 7, “on a knife edge”, is very sobering. The paper is long and features tons of data and graphs, and mentions the El Niño events and such that other posts here have mentioned.

There are some pretty extreme claims here, but they are well supported, and basically - we’re all screwed, even if we stopped emitting today (which we won’t), and that we all truly are running on borrowed time. There are population statistics and long story short things will hit the fan and cause widespread death over the coming decades.
