Man…fingers crossed they get a grid spot.
I find this strange. Cadillac partners with Chip Ganassi and Action Express, two rivals of Andretti in the US racing scene, to run their LMDh in IMSA and WEC. Not even there they design their own car, the hybrid system is spec and the chassis is made by Dallara.
In contrast you have the LMH cars, also in WEC and running in the same category, where the whole car is created by the manufacturer (Toyota, Ferrari, Peugeot), much more expensive but still way cheaper than F1.
If not even in WEC they could commit to have their own design car, I find it strange they could create a whole F1 team out of nowhere. Maybe they would also like to partner with someone to design their F1 chassis like Haas does with Dallara?
No news but I hope that they come. F1 needs this. In fact we could do with several more teams. 22 cars only is TINY. We should have at least 40 to make it really interesting.
The 20 already can’t keep out of each other’s way in quali.
Quali format can always change. It has changed in the past.
