BeamNG.Drive 0.30 adds some new content, but probably more interesting is experimental VR support and a completely rewored shifting logic.

BeamNG is the reason I own a sim rig and it’s amazing to see the progress they make in every release. I do some racing now in other sims but what I was really after was aimlessly driving around for hours as fast (and badly) as I wanted in a wide variety of vehicles. Also in my opinion it has some of the best dirt physics of any driving game. I’m no professional rally driver but compared to my limited experience sliding around IRL in relatively powerful Subarus it feels “right”.

The amount of effort put into this game is amazing.

It would be interesting if they could go the route of partnering with other companies to make ultra high fidelity vehicles, like race cars with all functions modelled, or roads and highways from laser scan data.

Most driving sims just focus on racing and basic driving but there’s more to the vehicle systems than that. Similar to DCs and other flight sims in a way!
