I’ll never forget hiding under a table in the corridor with the Alien walking around me in circles. He knew I was there but seemingly couldn’t figure out how to get me. I thought I was safe but maybe I moved a few pixels in the wrong direction as after a long wait, it grabbed me and gave me the deadly kiss.
So it’ll be on HBO Max in about a month then? 😁
It’s not licensed material. Disney is deleting their own original content so they don’t have to pay residuals to the actors and crew who worked on them.
I was quite looking forward to Star Wars: Skeleton Crew until I saw the first trailer. It looks like someone is trying to do The Goonies in space. The one image that really disheartened me is the shot of the suburbs, rows of houses and streets. Star Wars isn’t a place where I’d expect to see suburbs, it’s in a galaxy far, far away, a long time ago.
It’s very similar to when The Book of Boba Fett had their version of the 60s scooter scene. It doesn’t work and took me completely out of the episode.
Those are some impressive special features! This show passed me by as a kid though.

I’m guessing PVOD is renting the film while a digital release is buying a copy. COUGH! I mean buying a license to stream a film whenever you want until they remove it from the service.

I think it was on at the Prince Charles Cinema in London for a weeks run and somewhere in Birmingham. Apparently, it’s streaming via Apple TV on the 21st.

I think I saw a bit because I remember Cox introducing Terminator on Moviedrome, Sunday nights on BBC2, the first time I saw the film. I then assumed every film on that show would be awesome! My teenage self wasn’t impressed. I shall revisit at some point with my now apparently more mature mind. (Yeah, whatever! Lolz.)
There’s no surround sound feature from our soundbar at all, it’s just 2.1 audio coming from under the TV, if that makes sense.

CodeMaster religiously hold onto their copyrights. I remember searching for their 8bit games of the 1980s and while copies are out there, the places that do it legally, World of Spectrum for example, don’t host them because CodeMasters refuse permission for these old games to be distributed for free.
