Watching it again today made me realize some feelings I’d had for a while now, as I explore music “listened to” but never “heard” before. In the context of White Men Cant Jump.
A bit of joy for having the pleasure of watching so many great people of their craft come together.
A bit of sadness for the greatness we have lost.
A bit of confusion at my younger self that failed to see any of that out of some sort of teenage angst. Trying to be too cool for school so to speak.
I guess that is what age affords us, those joys and sorrows with a mixture of regret. The beauty of having lived long enough to see things in a new light.
I cant hear this song without thinking about this.

Age provides perspective, something many are too ambitious to value before they experience “real life.”
