I feel this is huge just cause of the way he talks about the execs and lawyers at DC/Discovery.
You can hear how truly self entitled they are and see the issue at heart:
They think they own everything and no longer offer contracts in good faith but based on how much money they can make
Is there anything that Discovery won’t completely ruin?
Must be nice for the devs of The Wolf Among Us 2, though, who are now apparently freed from having to provide any share of royalties to either Discovery or the author.
But also probably terrifying because this means that any developer can create their own game in that universe.
What if they officially shoveled the product, proclaim bankruptcy and sold their company and all assets, transfer all employees to a brand new company owned by the same people?
I assume there are some limitations that make sure this can happen but there are always loopholes.
Stopping development of the game without meeting certain conditions might be breach of contract and come with quite a sum, but I’m just guessing at this point. Either way it sounds like it’d be a nightmare in paperwork and would sour their reputation

Nope, those deals have been inked, so are still in effect.
It’s just that any future use of the IP can be made by anyone.
