Why not ban fishing nets seeing as a, they are the vast majority of ocean plastic and b, the quota system and trawling is denuding the marine environment and we’re about to repeat the 60’s mistake of overfishing
In general I aggree however one does not exclude the other.
Also this is much easier since there is almost no downside. So this is a quick and easy way to reduce microplastic.
