When Jeanne came out in a trailer, and we all saw her “serious and chill”, personality, the fandom jumped into multiple theories.

One of them, the most famous one, it was than this wasn’t Jeanne, but a women who tried to imitate Jeanne, other was than her changing her class messed up his personality, just like others Fate characters did in the past, Gilgamesh is a clear example of that.

But nope, instead, the game literally tells you to the face is none of that, in fact, i think the devs clearly readed forums of fans, because once the info of Jeanne is complete ingame, the game literally tells you “Jeanne personality is changed, but not because her class or because she is a impostor”, so they clearly knew about this.

What they did to one of the most famous and loved characters in Fate, was simple… She got corrupted.

Chiemon desires were so fucked up, than Jeanne basically got corrupted by him, and was turned on her bitch, everything she does in the game, is the meme of “Time to show them Hell Lancer” “Yes honey”. They also tell us than her power is way below than usual, because Chihiro corrupting her made her weaker, and that really shows up in the game.

This is really pointless, for starters, her lore was contradicted, and undermines Jalter’s character for obvious reasons.

Then, she has no personality whatsoever, she wants to save Chiemon, but she doesn’t do jack shit to do that, or even makes Chiemon change a little, they are the same people they were at the start of the game, and the HORRENDOUS ways she was treated.

In one ending, she gets injured and (i guess) she died offscreen, because she was never shown again, in other, she dies because Chiemon dies, and in other, Chiemon wants to make a Dragon Ball fusion, and she goes “yes honey” and that’s about it.

They tried to put the normal Jeanne in this game, and also the ALREADY corrupted Jeanne, and make a mix between both characters, that way they can sell the game better because “hey, we have both Jeanne”. but she doesn’t have anything of what makes Jeanne and Jalter special, so she is just a third alternative nobody cares about.

In the game, she literally accomplishes nothing, she burns houses, oh, big deal, oh, she beats cuchulainn possesed, HOLY SHIT, and then she kills a master who was completly defendless in the first place and was facing Iori, Saber and Rogue Saber, but… Hooray?

Everytime she faces a strong opponent, she either end up on a draw, or she gets beaten, she literally could have been replaced with anyone, literally anyone, and there wouldn’t be no difference, she has 0 personality, and she does barely nothing in the story.
