Anyone have experience and an opinion on a solid wireless dongle brand? I’m leaning towards the Motorola one just because of the name and decent reviews.

I had aawireless a while ago and it was perfect, you’ll get an app on your phone for firmware updates and some advanced settings. I have Motorola now and it’s bad, it overheats on long rides and starts disconnecting, no firmware updates, it’s not worth it. Car is Mazda 3 2017, phone is Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G

Last I checked aawireless was out of stock worldwide except in Amazon US

Thanks. I just had 2 motorolas delivered today. I’ll test them out over the next few days. If they suck, I’ll look at the aawireless ones.

I have AAWireless. It’s awesome, I love it. Relatively fast, reliable, frequent updates.

        How are your Motorolas going?

They connected easily. They work pretty well. No hiccups or lag. BUT, both of them (two different vehicles, 2 different phones) drop connection when they go past a truck weigh station. If left alone, they both reconnect a half mile or so later. Not a total bust, but still kind of sucky since it’s an every day thing.

Update 1 month later… Sometimes, randomly, nothing connects and I have to go through the whole setup process again. It’s happened probably 3 times in the last month. When it works, it’s great.
