    Translated (credit to u/niffler_beast):

Rasmus Højlund was furious after Denmark’s victory over San Marino. The Danish national team striker was far from pleased with San Marino’s players, who throughout the match were constantly on his back.

That’s why Højlund chose to gesture at the home team’s players when Denmark scored to make it 2-1. “I understand Italian, and I could hear that some of them were running around and saying nasty things to me. They were pushing and shoving, and they were grabbing onto me aggressively.”

“When we scored, I showed them the flag (shush gesture), and apparently, they couldn’t handle that, so they started pushing and engaging in such things.”

“I find it incredibly disrespectful that they were hitting and grabbing, especially that guy over there, he began pulling me and holding onto me excessively.”

In this case, we’re talking about Alessandro Tosi, who was also present in the mixed zone.

Højlund, however, didn’t care that Tosi was just a few meters away as the Dane continued to criticize San Marino.

“It was 100 percent them who started it, and then the game just escalated. They ended up taking it to the next level since they had nothing to lose.”

“They knew they might as well try to ruin someone else’s career.”

“I feel they did that with me. Especially the last duel had nothing to do with football. It deserved a straight red card. The referee had no control over the match.”

Here, Højlund is referring to the violent clash where Roberto Di Maio came flying in with a knee directly to the Dane’s back.

Rasmus Højlund was subjected to some harsh treatment, including getting elbowed multiple times.

The Dane adds that the San Marino players had more up their sleeves to target him.

“They said, ‘Wait for the next action’ and ‘we’ll smash you.’ So, it was more or less threats.”

“Did you start to fear that you would be seriously injured?”

“I still haven’t seen how my back is doing. You know how you feel your pulse. Right now, I feel it’s okay, but I don’t know how I’ll be tomorrow morning.”

“People know that I’ve had issues with my back before, which kept me out. So, it’s a frustrating situation I’m in now,” says an irritated Rasmus Højlund.

San Marino players should be given long bans for this behaviour, none of them will ever be anything anyway.

Scumbags of such sorts exist in all walks of life be it in sports or corporate life or schools, as authority figures etc. they just are pathetic cunts who set out to abuse/take advantage of people and things basically.

Fuck such pricks in life who intentionally want to harm someone one way or another.

Coming from a united fan when one of your favorite players of all time deliberately ended a players career and that player now still has a job as a pundit.

Except Keane didn’t actually end Haaland’s career. No idea how people still believe this. Haaland finished the game and then played another game a few days later. He then retired due to injuries in his other leg.

What is this? Pre school time? Of course they’re gonna be aggressive they play with pot washers and cashiers.

These babies would be crucified in Latin America if they cry over this match.

    Ahahahaha poor cunt…

The Dane shushed the San Marino defenders after putting his side ahead, a gesture which didn’t exactly win him any friends.

‘That’s not true,’ Tosi told reporters when asked about Hojlund’s claims.

'We only told him that he was not behaving properly. What he did was not necessary. He is a very strong striker, but he was not fair at all.

‘I haven’t lost respect for him completely, but we expected better behaviour. His behaviour when celebrating was unacceptable.’

Tosi also suggested it was strange to hear a Premier League player complain about a physical approach.

‘Hojlund plays in a league against defenders who are far more skilled, physical and tougher than us, so he should be used to these kinds of duels,’ he said.

I think he was complaining about the constant attempts to injure him, not the physical play.

A knee to the back without any chance of playing the ball, is not physical play, it’s downright assault.

This reminds me of Muller’s remark on teams like San Marino

Last Friday’s 8-0 drubbing in heavy rain kept Germany top of their 2018 World Cup qualifying group with a perfect record of four wins while San Marino, ranked 199 places below the Germans by Fifa, remain bottom.

When asked about the value of such international miss-matches, Mueller admitted the question was “hard to answer”, adding “romantics say such games have their place”.

Mueller says his “nothing to do with professional football” comment was taken out of context.

“My statement in the interview after the match on Friday related to the question of the sporting value of the game in San Marino in relation to the risk of injury,” Mueller wrote on his Facebook page on Tuesday.

"It was taken out of context by some media, which seems to have given some people the wrong impression, influenced by a sometimes humorous social media post by a former official of the San Marino Football Association.

“I want to clarify here that I replied in the answer respectfully to illuminate both sides of the topic.”

Mueller says he will not shy from speaking his mind.

“I will continue to express my opinion in the future, even if I run the risk of getting a few flies buzzing around my ears,” added the 27-year-old.

The matter could be put to bed over a beer.

Gasperoni has apologised for poking fun at Germans in his rant and wants to meet Mueller when San Marino play the return qualifier in Nuremberg next June.

“I am sure everything will be settled with a hand shake and when we are in Germany, we could go for a beer together,” added Gasperoni.
