More free flowing football against 11 men of Fulham than 9 men of Liverpool, not sure if that’s a compliment to Liverpool or an indictment of Fulham.
You understand how closing out spaces works if you think an 9 man defense is easier than a 5 man defense. Won’t be bothered to explain here but TIFO made a brilliant video explaining HOW if you’re actually serious in your statement and curious what I’m talking about.
I’ll find it but I don’t really think the argument is valid as Liverpool still attacked and left spaces to attack, they did not have 9 behind the ball all game (about 80 mins vs 10 men incl ET and about 30 mins vs 9 men)
