I saw the same thing happen in the lead up to one of the Spurs goals, routine cross in that Rays fumbles with and ends up in a Spurs goal 45 secs later. It’s clearly something teams have identified, Mudryk said as much himself that the GK coach identified it

You certainly want your keeper to play the cross and position to deny a crazy mishit.
