I get what this comic is trying to say but it’s very dumb and not at all relevant to the discussion about guns in the US.

Each piece of the cake is an infringement. The second amendment says shall not be infringed. I want all my cake back.

Again I get what it’s trying to say but that’s a false equivalency. No one has ever come to take your guns, not once. You know how I know, because they haven’t come for mine either. Get out of here with this stupid propaganda, get over yourself, advocate for proper gun education and registration. If you keep playing the all or nothing game, don’t be surprised when we end up with nothing.

Registration always leads to confiscation. Just look at Australia. No registration, but bring back shooting clubs in school.

Cars are not the same as guns. We don’t have as many people calling to ban them and they’re not codified in our founding documents.

Yeah cars have more uses than gun. Guns are a tool with one function, to kill. We infringe on people’s right to free speech when it is potentially harmful so I don’t get why guns get some mythical status.

** Freedom of speech does not include the right:

To incite imminent lawless action. Brandenburg v. Ohio, 395 U.S. 444 (1969). To make or distribute obscene materials. Roth v. United States, 354 U.S. 476 (1957). To burn draft cards as an anti-war protest. United States v. O’Brien, 391 U.S. 367 (1968). To permit students to print articles in a school newspaper over the objections of the school administration. Hazelwood School District v. Kuhlmeier, 484 U.S. 260 (1988). Of students to make an obscene speech at a school-sponsored event. Bethel School District #43 v. Fraser, 478 U.S. 675 (1986). Of students to advocate illegal drug use at a school-sponsored event. Morse v. Frederick, __ U.S. __ (2007).

Those are pretty shit decisions curtailing freedom of speech.

And killing is a part of the human condition. Some people are crazy and have zero regard for human life. I’d rather be able to defend myself with a gun than a knife, or not at all like in a lot of countries these days.

That percentage is 18 times larger than just you, but you’re expecting us to ignore them while giving a shit about YOUR ability to purchase new loud toys?

Seems a bit arrogant, don’t ya think?

There are more rats in America then people. Do we need to base legislation on the needs of rats?

Are you really trying to tell me that a hunk of metal should be treated as equal to a human life, and that the “needs” of these of metal hunks outweigh the lives of actual living breathing people with names and families and friends?

It’s merely a number that shows lots of human Americans exercise their rights. The guns do not have any rights. The PEOPLE do. And if you want to go ahead and show me where rats are guaranteed by the Constitution or laws go ahead.

Ha. Had to look that one up. That was a mod being racist. I was calling out the “children” gun deaths statistic and how it includes gang violence and I was thinking up to 17 year olds, but it’s even worse and includes up to 19. They assumed by gangs I meant blacks I guess. That’s a pretty racist assumption by the mod since gangs come in all colors of shit people. White, brown, asian, black. They’re all shit for their association, not their race.
