I just watched the original Candyman, and it instantly became one of my favorite films. The moment I heard the intro music I knew I was in for something special. Helen is such a charming character, and Tony Todd plays an impeccable villain. It’s such a tragic tale for Helen. She essentially gets framed for the murders, and also treated her husband so well, only for him to cheat on her with one of his students. The ending scene where Trevor envisions her in their kitchen preparing dinner instead of Stacey got me good, and I’m glad she decided his fate. Overall, it’s one of the best films I’ve seen this year. I know most of you have probably already seen it, but for those who haven’t, I highly recommend!
