“Caveat emptor,” let the buyer beware.

I bought two armor sets off of Eververse this month, both of which I liked the look of in the store, and neither of which I liked when I got to try shaders on them. Of course I don’t need to tell you that the “Preview shaders” step comes well after the “IF YOU CLICK THIS BUTTON YOU WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO REFUND YOUR PURCHASE” step.

This isn’t the first time I’ve felt regret after buying something from Eververse, but it’s the last, because I’m tired of it.

I’m tired of finding out that the pieces of a set can’t be matched with anything in my inventory.

I’m tired of finding out that a chunk of material takes shaders in a weird way.

I’m tired of buying a full set and finding out I can only use the boots.

Too often I’ve bought something off Eververse and felt the same way as when I opened a shitty lootbox. Making a purchase should not leave the customer feeling like they’ve made a mistake or used their money poorly, and I’ve felt that way more than once.

Bungie: If you won’t allow me to make an informed purchase, and you won’t allow me to refund my purchase, then I just won’t purchase. At fifteen dollars a pop, fucking around and finding out is way too expensive. Until you get around to fixing what I assume is a very innocent programming oversight on your part, I just don’t feel comfortable spending my money in the Eververse store.
