Hi, I have about 4.5K hours in CS:GO, GE (Faceit 8 before I quit that). I’m by no means a great player, but I’m a good teammate and have a solid understanding of the game, comms, timings, util etc. This is the experience I’m getting ever since day 1 of CS2.

I only play solo, and I used to enjoy to hop on some D2 solo MM. So this whole premiere and map-based ranks have put me on the verge of uninstalling the game. The game is wonky, that’s one thing, but the other thing has to do with the rank reset and the influx of new players, making the experience just awful to me.

I just got voted off in a Premiere placement match on Anubis (no one said a word but this one guy, after me asking about mics said “i don’t play this map”). And after me calling out some pos/engagements for 3 rounds, they died instantly on B, a buy round, so I wrote “a useful tip is to smoke B main at the start, not me being a dick, just a useful tip” and then they went ahead and voted me off. Thanks kids.

A couple of days prior to this, stacks of 3-4 have spammed me with griefing reports so I even got a cooldown. This is for me calling in English. How am I supposed to enjoy this game, and also, endure playing through the hell of new players? It’s dead silence followed by people disconnecting, trolling, throwing, holding W rushing as CTs every round. I’m Silver Elite with 20 wins on D2, what is that even?

I don’t have any CS ambitions, I just want to have decently balanced games with people that are around my level and can communicate. The game should be way more proficient at picking up on accounts with a lot of CS:GO hours and combine that with stats from a smaller dataset of CS2 games to move them ahead because this is unplayable and so damn frustrating.

How do you, fellow solo players deal with this shit? Sorry for the essay, but I’m having such a horrible time with the only game I (used to) enjoy. Solo queue option would be a really nice addition imo.
