Exactly why it was premature to talk about a title challenge for Spurs. Their squad is nowhere near ready.
Chelsea screwing up Spurs since 2016
This is Matt Law, given that he didn’t say Maddison is dead, him missing international duty is probably just a precaution.
Fs my FPL team is in bits now
Sad to see rival fans celebrating injuries and holding this over spurs as ‘karma’. I would never wish injury on a player, not even one of my bitterest rivals.
This has gone beyond karma. This is God deciding that “Fuck Tottenham”.
Rivals are really really desperate for us to lose, more than usual
Mate, it’s Tottenham.
Yet again the game against Chelsea has huge implications for their season
He’s a fantastic player, but injuries are his biggest flaw.
A serious miss for them.
Guess we see now how good they are!
Wolves away is suddenly looking a lot more tricky than it did a week ago
The comments in here are wild, mainly from people who can’t wait to talk bad about Spurs, it’s not like any team losing a key player could face some set back. Arsenal is a shit team, yet on this sub they’re stronger than early 2000 galacticos.
Arsenal are a shit team? I wouldn’t disagree if you said they were overrated on here, but to say they’re shit is just nonsense. They’re one of the top 3 teams in the league easily.
Arsenal is a shit team??? You think this is 2019??
People always eventually get sick of media darlings. It’s nothing new.
Theres always next season.
I don’t want to speak to soon, who knows maybe somehow we beat wolves and City still. But this season was never about winning the league and the fact that it’s even discussed still amazes and excited me. Before the season started I’m pretty sure most Spurs fans would be happy with coming 6th whilst playing nice football given that we were obviously working towards something. especially now that Kane has gone
TBF, no season for you lot is about winning the league. Finishing fourth and maybe ‘putting the pressure on’ is what you’re about
Well seeing as we’ve been in title races I’m not sure I agree with you. Nice try though you’d probably get a good rise out of one or two people on twitter where comments like that belong
Ok?
Indeed, it’s been a great start for you guys. Tbh after last season, the expectations and hope this season has just been killing me
Thats ferrari motto
This was always going to happen. It’s sp*rs
So many injuries this season across all the clubs, seems to be impacting the Top 7 quite badly.
Apart from City of course who just have De Bruyne out and definitely aren’t taking PED’s to keep their injuries in check. Arsenal did it with ‘vitamin’ injections in the 90’s
With city’s players often flying out to see the doctor Pep has been using since he was a player (pep got caught twice for drug cheating whilst working with this doctor)
Everyone does that. It’s a multi-billion dollar industry where players can make generational wealth. Anyone who thinks PED usage isn’t rife at the top levels of every major sport is naive as hell.
It’s definitely the knock-on effects from the mid-season WC i reckon
A lot of teams had american preseasons aswell, playing on those pitches fucked over Arsenal
Yeah I’m wondering if teams will be avoiding American tours next summer especially after the euros. I think it’d be pretty cool to just do a local tour
City just have an incredibly strong squad, they can sub anyone and lose very little quality.
They also control their games and aren’t doing quite as many full field sprints to track back. Or, at the very least, that’s what I suspect the stats will back up.
Except Rodri apparently
True, but every team would struggle without their most important player
And paid the refs as well dont forget. You just don’t have a chance do you?
