You never know until you try. If you want to try prostate play, I’d recommend a hook with a ball. Its easy to insert an control where the pressure is. I’ve tried some of the hands free prostate toys, but never had one that worked for me.
What I found works for me is to just wrap a belt around my belly to secure it; a very low tech solution. :P Sadly doesn’t really work with the stroking part of it, but I don’t think that feels that great either.
For whatever reason those hook toys kinda look scary to me.
From a size perspective, the ball is no bigger, and probably slightly smaller than a “normal size” plug. The rest is so thin there is no discomfort keeping it in.
