Every day I drive down Beaudesert Road for most of its length, and every day I see people who constantly chop and change lanes the entire way.

From the arse end of Logan to the pubic region of Brisbane they have changed lanes dozens of times, and yet I - the superior zero lane changer - am within a few car positions of them.

I think the problem is they/you do not see themselves/yourself as part of the traffic. Traffic is everyone else. They/you are stuck IN THE TRAFFIC. If only they can change lanes enough times they will get ahead of the traffic and win the race. If you/they instead saw themselves as part of the traffic and worked together as a team (leave following gaps, don’t block people who actually need to change lanes, dont block intersections when lights go red etc) then everyone could enjoy less congestion and angst on the road.

Anyway. Bit of a dunny thought.

Completely agree. Some people refuse to recognize and accept that sometimes the speed of the road based on traffic conditions is slower than they’d like to travel and start cutting right and left to get a few yards ahead.
