    • Brush: Stirling 24mm Synthetic
    • Blade: Cien Men 2-Blade Cart (2)
    • Lather: Barrister & Mann - Midnight Special - Soap
    • Post Shave: allMan - Fearless - Aftershave
    • Post Shave: Bulldog - Original Moisturizer

Early morning wakeup so I only gave myself 30 minutes to shower, shave, get dressed, and get out the door.

I smeared a large chunk of sample soap on my face and the brush picked it up very easily. Omnibus works well with this method.

Midnight Special is lightly scented to my nose, similar to Promises. I like it better than Promises, though.

    • Brush: Grizzly Bay Shire 26mm V18 Fanchurian

    • Razor: Koraat 14-2.0 8/8" Full Hollow

    • Lather: House of Mammoth - Shire 2 - Soap

    • Post Shave: House of Mammoth - Shire 2 - Splash

    • Post Shave: Thayers - Cucumber - Toner

    • Talc: Pinaud Clubman

As we have determined here, today’s setup supports les mardis du mammouth.

And another great HoM shave was had by me. I felt compelled to use a razor that has mammoth ivory scales with a House of Mammoth soap. Though this was the first time I’ve done it, it won’t be the last.

    November 21, 2023: Zingari Zischtig

My first official Zingari Züchtig Zischtig. Mousse Illuminée is great as usual, and I get used to Skin Bracer.

    Have a good evening!

    Edit: Autocorrect

    • Brush: Maggard 24mm Tuxedo Synthetic
    • Razor: Blackland Era - Level 3 SB
    • Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (10)
    • Lather: Barrister & Mann - Mélange - Soap
    • Post Shave: Old Spice - Original - Aftershave
    • Post Shave: Eufros - Dama Noche - Balm

Luxury shave, which I’ve been doing more often due to rushed early morning shaves.

This blade has been pretty incredible.

I’ve been hesitant to try Mélange because I’ve been burned by some soaps before and this one has a reputation for doing that. I’m happy to report that I’m SAFE from Mélange. It smells good!

    SOTD 21.11.2023

    • Prep: warm water
    • Razor: Headblade S4 Lunar Eclipse
    • Blade: HB 2
    • Brush: AP Shave Co. 30 mm Tuxedo Fan w/ black & clear handle
    • Lather: Declaration Grooming - Unscented
    • Post Shave: Thayer’s Aloe Vera toner
    • Fragrance: Tom Ford - Ombre Leather EdP

1 pass head shave with the Headblade. Just a quick shave before my late shift…

Today I called my potential new work place for feedback. Lo and behold, I got the verbal commitment by the nursing service manager/head of nursing (= “Pflegedienstleitung” or PDL in german) that I can start there next year 🥳 The “boss” of that nursing home is unfortunately still sick, so my written contract will have to wait until next week… But I can finally start to work on organising my seamless transition 😉 My parents as well as some coworkers who are in on my intentions are happy for me, albeit the latter are understandably sad that we’ll part ways… Me too, but I need to do what’s best for me and my career.

Celebrated the day with one of my favourite Tom Ford fragrances. Ombre Leather as well as its darker brother Tuscan Leather are my absolute top perfumes. If you’re into rich leather scents that are very agreeable (instead of harsher offerings like e.g. Midnight Stag), I completely recommend those 👍🏻

    • Brush: Wolfman WRB2 Bronze w/AP Shave Co MiG 26mm Premium Hybrid

    • Razor: Wolfman Razors WR4/WRH3

    • Blade: Feather Artist Club Professional (2)

    • Lather: Zingari Man - Mousse Illuminée - Soap

    • Post Shave: Zingari Man - Mousse Illuminee - Aftershave

    • Post Shave: Thayers - Rose - Toner

    • Talc: Pinaud Clubman

It is my first Zingari Zischtig and Mousse Illuminée is the protocol. I had a little spare time so I loaded more heavily than usual and created a YouTube boom shakalaka lather [IYKYK]. That was perfect for this scent as it filled the bathroom during the shave.

I can’t go wrong with the WR4. I used the lightest of touches, barely felt the edge, and still was rewarded with full-on BBS comfort.

    Bye, Bye, AutoStrop

    • Brush: Chisel and Hound Ambrosia Maple with 26 mm synthetic Maggard knot
    • Razor: Valet AutoStrop VC1 (1922-1929?)
    • Blade: Feather FHS-10
    • Lather: Barrister and Mann Lavanille
    • Aftershave: Chatillon Lux Pure Lavender
    • Fragrance: Mäurer & Wirtz Tabac Man Fire Power

Delicious lavender-centric shave with an already inexplicably worn blade (after 4 uses). FHS-10 blades are really substantially worse than other Feather blades. The AutoStrop goes back in the box, and I’m returning to straights for the next few days.
