So stupid question: I went to go by Shipbreaker for 16$, evrything went through but I could not find the game in.y games & apps, I had to search through “all” and there it was, clicking it it said I need a game pass subscription to play.

Is this right? I have to have a sub. to play a game I purchased?

I got it refunded because I couldn’t find a good answer.

I don’t think there are any purchasable games that also require a gamepass subscription. Probably a syncing error or something.

Shipbreaker does appear to be an online on game. So you would need Xbox Live to play it, which I think is called gamepass core now. It also could have just been a sync error and needed more time to register your purchase? Howlong did you wait?

Is it saying you need “core” to play? Is the game online only? If so you need game pass core to play any online game that isn’t free to play

I don’t know if it’s normal but purchasing stuff on Xbox is pretty buggy for me, sometimes it can take up to couple of hours until games appear in my library, especially in case of X360 titles.

I may try this again, then. It may be a sync error, I dunno. I cannot find any reason a purchase game needs a subscription to the “core” pass

Thank you all for the responses.
