Feel free to post your book recommendations here or just talk about your favorites.
As a tip and a reminder; please prioritize using your local library when looking for books. These centers of community are some of the most cottagecore things in existance. You’re not expected to spend money, you are not advertised to 99% of the time and if you are it’s about local events and offerings. Remember that cottagecore is a beautiful aesthetic but at it’s heart it is a return to local communities, libraries serve those communities better than anything else. Go get your library card!
The Secret Garden is available as a free audiobook on YouTube, this is one of my favorites and one of the quintessential cottagecore books in my humble opinion.
I loved the Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches.
Anne of Green Gables is also an easily accessible cottagecore series of books.
Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree is a really sweet, low stakes fantasy read for those that are looking for something a little different.
