Any games with animal people in it that you want to talk about? Either as a recommendation, or as a “look at this interesting thing”?

For me, I’ve been playing three games recently:

  • Tunic: An adorable zelda/soulslike hybrid that looks adorable. It also captures a unique sense of retro and nostalgia that I haven’t felt before. Would recommend, and worth going into it blind.
  • Super Lesbian Animal RPG: I know it’s not really aimed at me, but I’ve been enjoying it. It feels very genuine and doesn’t take itself too seriously. So far, anyway.
  • Friends vs Friends: An online arena shooter/deckbuilder game. Pretty fun, although I’m not good at it yet. Not yet sure how P2W it is though.

Also, Gross! It’s a combination of tower defense and FPS.

I played the demo, which consists of the endless mode; the main problem i have with this game is that the ceiling is low: few turrets, their upgrades are hard-capped, no customization, you can’t build vertically, the maps are too narrow to really make a good winding path, no character upgrades, no weapon upgrades. Which means you start to feel pretty powerless in the late game, when the enemies constantly ramp up but you and your turrets are still the same.

But, the game is really well thought out in that the weapons and turrents match the enemies pretty well. Also the gun design and gunplay is pretty great.

    Fans are OP, use them.
