Boy I am generally against defederating but having that large a mass of humanity come in is making me rethink it.
The power of the Fedi is that YOU, personally can block the whole domain with a click and it will never enter your feed. Don’t sweat the little stuff and Threads is definitely the little stuff.
yeah ultimately that is what I want. access to everything with with as much control as a user as is possible.
So how will Meta attempt to kill activity pub in terms of embrace, extend, extinguish?
“Look we are using ActivityPub, aren’t we cool?”
“Look you can access other federated instances on our platform, isn’t that cool?”
“All the best content is on our platform now, so we are removing the federation aspect”
