You know men are not the only rapists, right? Transpeople can also rape, sure it’s less probable because there’s not a systemic issue where society raises them as rapists but it still can happen. The linked article states: “Police Scotland said that they would log rapes as being carried out by a woman if the accused person insists, even if they have not legally changed gender”. So according to that, a man can rape someone, and when caught, tell police that he’s actually a woman (probably hoping to get a lower sentence). How is that beneficial for anyone but rapists?
I agree it can be misused, and people can have a rightly so concern about this. That’s not my point, my point is that she grabs any chance she gets to trash transpeople. She is not voicing a legitimate concern about rapists and victims or whatever, she’s just pushing the “transwomen are men in disguise to rape us” narrative.
