- Brutalism - Solace in Absurdity (USA-ID)
- Burn Down Eden - Dismal [EP] (Germany)
- Gorgasm - Sadichist [EP] (USA-IL) (way on the brutal side for me, but cool to see these guys active again)
- Hour of Penance - Devotion (Italy) (!!!)
- Ingested - The Tide of Death and Fractured Dreams (UK-ENG) (used to be slamming deathcore - idk what to call them now, but I like this release a lot better than the last couple)
- Jet Engine Dragons - Ronin (USA-GA) (kinda prog/groove, but solid)
- Kvadrat - The Horrible Dissonance of Oblivion (Greece) (blackened/dissonant)
- Laccolith - Death Incarnate (Netherlands) (pretty different sound than their debut EP)
- Monastery Dead - Ego Sum Dolor (Russia) (not that tech, but pretty good)
- Orecus - Dreadnought (Sweden) (melo/groove)
- Protosequence - Bestiary (CAN-AB)

Somewhat late post this week, but man oh man I’ve been absolutely drunk on the quality releases! I was super excited for Hour of Penance (excellent, I can tell I’ll be playing this a lot over the coming weeks), but then stunned at newcomers Jet Engine Dragons, and how hadn’t I heard about Burn Down Eden or Monastery Dead until now?! I also only just discovered Orecus on my tour through Sweden (musical, not literal), and now they have a new one - groovy af.
Haven’t been able to listen yet, but I’m assuming that that Gorgasm is not the band that released Neurotripsicks, then became Gorod.
Ha, that is 100% what I did, oops. “Gorgasm, now there’s a name I haven’t heard in forever.”
