Yeah, I’ve been in that camp if I’m honest. Mostly his defending not being as good as others in the squad and his injury record for us. But what he brings in experience and skill in other areas I’m sure most teams in the PL would die for.

I still want him in the team, I still think he’s invaluable and still has a part to play.

I think he’s our best leftback overall, just that defence can be concerning when coming up against like, Salah type just best in the world wingers lol. He’s good, just not amazing at defending, but everything else easily makes up for it, other than injury proneness but that’s just part and parcel of being an Arsenal fullback not named White.

Yeah. I think starting Kiwi for the defensive stability was good, but it obviously didn’t pan out and it seems the midfield presence is going to be much more important at the moment.

Ok now that i’m watching the highlights at half time, what the fuck was our ENTIRE DEFENCE doing on that play with Gnabry?? nearly every single one fucked up??

I think because it began with Gabriel, there was no one to take charge - Kiwior was pre-flustered and everything fell apart from there

idk that it even began with Gabriel, Raya was really close for no reason at the start which is kinda part of why Gabriel went the way he did

True, he came out but Gabriel waved him off telling him not to come for it. Maybe he was trying to tell Raya to stay back, but at that point the damage was done

Yknow wha’ts the most annoying part of this? we’ve dominated the stats. Idk about how the actual game has been but we’ve dominated basically every stat besides xG and that’s cuz we gave up a pen lmfao

Watching the goal replays and looks like silly individual errors that Bayern were able to capitalise on. The first goal is so uncharacteristic of how well we’ve defended over the past 3+ months.

Kane, can’t fucking score for England or to win anything but can score to fuck over us. Honestly one of the most frustrating players despite at the same time also being definitely an amazing striker.

No it’s fucking not, I want England to win!! Closest thing we’ve got to a national team that will achieve anything unless the FA want to actually back Andersen.

I mean fair to him. Classic monkey’s paw sort of wish - be the best striker of a generation but never win a major trophy.

Not just major trophy, has he won a single team trophy at all? Last time Spurs won was 2008 after all

I’m gonna be honest, those don’t even count as minor trophies. Otherwise even I could say I’ve won a trophy by just making one myself and giving it to myself.

Minor trophies for me are UEFA Super Cup, Shield, League Cup, EFL Cup, FA Trophy, FA Vase, county cups etc. Friendly cups don’t count lol.

I love me some Trossard. I feel like he’s the best impact player for us when coming in off the bench

He’s tidy when starting and still plays well, but I feel like he’s scored a lot of his goals coming off the bench (I could be wrong).

I think you are correct. I believe that he’s different enough from our other attackers that when he comes on, he disrupts the opposition setup. That, and he’s a great finisher.

Something I’ve noticed a few times - when we put a cross into the box, multiple people will go for it, which gives the defender an easy place to put the ball since soe much space is vacated. I’d rather see Jesus and Havertz take turns challenging in the air and the other watch for the second ball.

With you on that. It’s something I’ve noticed as well. There have been so many times where if we had another player in around the box after a cross or shot it could have resulted in a chance. It can be a little frsutrating at times
