    It can also be called a 10D10 as the numbers are in increments of 10.

      If you say “a 10d10”, I know what you mean, but “10d10” is definitely the sum of 10 10-sided dice.

      Wouldn’t 10d10 be something very different? Like, I can get a result of 43 with the commonly used definition of 10d10 (10 dice with 10 sides each), but I can only get multiples of 10 with the die in question.

        How I look at it: xdx = the first x is how the numbers go up, and the second x says how many sides. 1 meaning the numbers are sequential starting at one. 2 would be going up by 2 each time. X2 would be doubling each time.
