Example: I’m playing on a Windows laptop, but I also have it for Nintendo Switch and iOS.
Linux PC
Same here
Yep Java edition on Linux.
java edition on linux using the prism launcher
How do you like the prism launcher, does it work well on linux? I’ve just been using the standard .deb launcher.
It works well and is available as native package or Flatpak. It includes features such as profiles, mod updating (fetches newer versions from Curseforge and Modrinth), in-launcher mod downloading and several other useful features and plenty of configuration options.
Iirc it was an offshoot of the PolyMC group made when one of their devs went rogue, and I think PolyMC used to be one of the more popular choices for linux
originally there was multiMc,
then PolyMc was created as an offshoot of multi due to drama.
then prism was created as an offshoot of polyMc because one of the devs acted like an twat
Java edition on Steamdeck, I e SteamOS
It’s so good on the steam deck, it barely drains the battery somehow.
Ye and with lithium and sodium it runs even better! No idea how its so good. And once I found controlify by isXander I didn’t even need to worry about any mappings 😊 just a great experience overall
Minetest.

Psst. Check out Minetest.. It’s an open source block game engine. There are plugins that turn it into what is functionally vanilla Minecraft, plus a whole lot more. No Microsoft BS.
How do you find it compared to Minecraft? Any major things you miss?
Well, VoxeLibre (formerly Mineclone 2) is not quite feature complete compared to the latest Minecraft release. It’s got feature parity more-or-less up to 1.12 but a few odds and ends are incomplete or behave differently from vanilla Minecraft in subtle ways. I expect the situation to improve over time.
I will say that Minetest’s performance is loads better than Java OG Minecraft. Night and day.
Does it contain mobs? I feel like the few Minecraft-like creations I have seen have mostly focused on the building aspect
No thank you, I have one on the Switch.
Java, PC.
I own it for iOS but have not touched the iOS version in years.
Java version on a Linux Mint desktop.
Java via PojavLauncher on Android, and Bedrock via Waydroid on Linux.
I also have Minetest on both.
Java on Android? How well does that run? What hardware are you using? Do you have to use peripherals?
Runs nice and smoothly with medium graphics settings on a Motorola g73, with just touch controls.
Have you tried Bedrock? I’m curious how the two compare. I used PojavLauncher for about twenty minutes but for some reason it seemed like passive mobs (such as sheep) weren’t spawning as often as they do in Bedrock.
Tried it, it won’t install from Aurora, and there’s some bug with the Play Store not installing anything and just saying pending. I tried Bedrock on my Linux computer though, as I said.
Java edition using either Prism launcher or the FTB app on Manjaro Linux.
I have a Bedrock Realm that I play on my Series X and my laptop.

You can use Java Minecraft on the Steam deck.
There are various guides available to install it.
PS4 ( Bedrock). Seems I’m the only one here.
I play Java edition on my NixOS desktop, although I also have my laptop running the same operating system and Java edition.
I also play Bedrock edition on my Android phone sometimes, although it sucks on mobile. Very rarely, I play Minecraft on PS4.
Only playing java on PC these days. I used to play the legacy edition a lot, but yk, there’s a reason its called the legacy edition now. I also have the bedrock edition on Switch since 2018, but I wasn’t prepared for the shitshow the it is. Haven’t played it for years though.
