It’s basically like a Deathstar and with a weapon like this under their control, the rebellions in the One Piece world have no chance, especially if York makes more of them. Maybe Stella-Vegapunk will be essential in finding the weapon’s weakness and destroying the energy source they would need to build more.
Also, was Saturn showing mercy to Bonney because “she is just a child”? This is an interesting statement from two angles: A Gorosei is showing some humanity (???) and additionally I’m wondering if Bonney is really just a child that turned herself into an adult with her powers.

I think they are saying that “she is just a child” as a way of she’s not a threat.
